Digital Economy Council of Australia encourages and advocates for the adoption of blockchain technology across industry and by local, state and federal governments across Australia. Recognising that the development of blockchain and DLT environments is a mechanism to drive innovation across all sectors of the digital economy.
Working Groups
Digital Economy Council of Australia advocacy initiatives include the development of working groups to support the work of the association. Working groups are tasked with exploring the state of identified use cases, economic opportunities and regulatory settings and perimeters. In so doing, they identify the barriers to adopting blockchain and make recommendations that consider industry wide views of sectoral issues.
Parliamentary Friends of Blockchain
The Australian Parliamentary Friends of Blockchain is a bi-partisan group of members of the Commonwealth Parliament who are interested in the potential for blockchain technology to transform most areas of the Australian economy and society.
The Co-Chairs of the Australian Parliamentary Friends of Blockchain are Senator Andrew Bragg and Dr Andrew Charlton MP.
