Terms of Submission for Events on DECA.org.au

Introduction

The Digital Economy Council of Australia (DECA) welcomes the submission of events to be featured on our events calendar. By submitting an event, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure that our events calendar maintains a high standard of relevance, quality, and professionalism.

Submission Criteria

Relevance: Events must be relevant to the digital economy, blockchain, distributed ledger technology (DLT), cryptocurrency, fintech, AI, IoT, or related fields.

Accuracy: All event details provided must be accurate, complete, and up-to-date. This includes event name, date, time, location, organiser details, and a concise event description.

Compliance: Events must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including intellectual property rights and privacy laws.

Non-Promotional: Events should not be purely promotional in nature. Submissions that are solely for marketing products or services without educational or informational value may be rejected.

Professionalism: The content submitted must be professional and adhere to DECA’s standards of quality. Offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content will not be accepted.

Submission Process

Submission Form: All events must be submitted through the designated event submission form available on DECA.org.au.
Review: DECA reserves the right to review, edit, and approve or reject any event submission at its sole discretion. Approval is not guaranteed.

Modification: DECA may modify event details for clarity, accuracy, or to fit our formatting standards without prior notice to the submitter.

Notification: Submitters will be notified of the approval or rejection of their event via email within 10 business days of submission.
Rights and Responsibilities

Content Ownership: By submitting an event, you confirm that you have the right to share all the information and materials included. You grant DECA a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display the submitted content on our website and associated promotional materials.

Accuracy and Updates: Submitters are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the event details and for informing DECA of any changes or cancellations as soon as possible.

Indemnification: Submitters agree to indemnify and hold DECA harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from the submission or publication of their event.

General Conditions

Amendments: DECA reserves the right to amend these terms of submission at any time without prior notice. It is the submitter’s responsibility to review the terms regularly.

Removal: DECA reserves the right to remove any event from the calendar at its discretion, including but not limited to cases where the event no longer meets the submission criteria or is found to be in violation of these terms.
